Adobe InDesign has become the new standard for professional publication design. InDesign offers an extensive set of layout and typography tools, built-in support for XML data and seamless integration with Adobe InCopy (Adobe’s editorial application). InDesign provides a robust design solution for anyone looking to work smarter and produce better quality publications.

Metadata Time Saver

If you find yourself constantly typing repetitive content into InDesign’s (or InCopy’s) metadata fields, you can save a metadata template and use it to automatically fill in the common areas and save yourself a great deal of typing and time.

Just select ‘Save Metadate Template’ from the flyout menu in the upper right hand corner of the ‘Content Information’ window to save your information. Use multiple templates for different projects to not only save time, but to make certain that basic information is consistent across all your project files.
